Felton Road: The Vintage & The Vault

Felton Road: The Vintage & The Vault Monday 3rd August 2026 | The Library, Stirling Hotel | 6pm arrival
Blair Walter has spent thirty years making Felton Road one of the most admired wineries in the world. For one evening, he’s in our Library pouring the new vintage against the vault and telling you what happened in between.
Felton Road sits on north-facing slopes at the end of Felton Road in Bannockburn, Central Otago. Certified Demeter biodynamic since 2010, every vine hand-tended, every grape hand-picked. Blair has been the winemaker there since 1996 and getting him to the Adelaide Hills for a single evening is a rare thing and we’re not taking it lightly. Winery of the Year New Zealand in 2024 and 2025. Regularly listed among the World’s 50 Most Admired Wine Brands. The recognition is deserved, but it’s the wines themselves that tell the real story.
The menu reaches back to the old world, four courses of European cooking from Jonnie Eime’s kitchen, made for pinot noir. Central Otago has always drawn its comparisons to Burgundy, and this is the food those wines were born to sit beside. These are wines you may never get another chance to taste, poured beside food you won’t find on any of our menus, with the winemaker in the room to walk you through it all.
Monday 3rd August is a fruit day on the biodynamic calendar. Nothing about this evening is accidental, and nothing about it repeats. 22 seats only. $350 per person.
